Soft Tissue Therapy & Sports Remedial Massage

Sports Massage is a technique used to stretch the muscles and connective tissues of the body to enhance performance. When done properly, sports massage stimulates circulation, increases lymph flow, breaks up fibrosis that binds muscle fibres together, relaxes muscle spasm and relieves pain.

Sports Massage differs from Swedish Massage in that it is a deeper form of Massage. The Sports Massage Therapist can locate areas of tension whether it is a sporting injury or tension caused by other activities such as gardening, lifting boxes etc.Sports Massage is also a great way to eliminate general aches and pains caused by muscle inactivity such as driving, sitting at a computer etc. You don’t have to be a sports person to benefit from a Sports Massage.

Why should I have a Sports Massage?

Sports Massage is not only for athletes but is for anyone with tension and general aches and pains.
Sports Massage is not only used on people with sporting injuries but can be used as an addition to an athletes training routine.
