What is Sports Massage?
Sports Massage is a technique used to stretch the muscles and connective tissues of the body to enhance performance. When done properly, sports massage stimulates circulation, increases lymph flow, breaks up fibrosis that binds muscle fibres together, relaxes muscle spasm and relieves pain.
Sports Massage differs from Swedish Massage in that it is a deeper form of Massage. The Sports Massage Therapist can locate areas of tension whether it is a sporting injury or tension caused by other activities such as gardening, lifting boxes etc.
Sports Massage is also a great way to eliminate general aches and pains caused by muscle inactivity such as driving, sitting at a computer etc. You don’t have to be a sports person to benefit from a Sports Massage.

Audra is an ITEC Level 3 and BTEC Level 5 qualified practitioner with four years experience in sports and holistic massage. Drawing upon her experience and education she is able to assess carefully the needs of each client in order to determine and implement the right treatment by using various massage techniques, skills to ensure the correct treatment is applied.
Treating all manner of sporting injuries including stress fractures, Achilles Tendinitis, Plantar Fasciitis, sprains and strains, old injuries with developed compensatory patterns and muscle imbalances.
